Inclusive Building Solutions

Working together with our qualified energy partners, we also offer expert services and no cost evaluations in several additional energy saving technology and construction applications.  EES can apply these technologies combined with utility rebates and tax benefits on an individual basis or combine them with an energy efficient lighting project.

It is becoming second nature for our clients to ask us if we provide other construction services. Through popular demand, we now offer professional construction services such as interior ceiling replacements, exterior building/parking lot overhauls and electrical service upgrades to go along with our lighting, design and electrical services.

Commercial and residential solar systems can reduce or completely eliminate the cost of electricity, and in the process redirect those precious budget dollars to other areas.

Improvements in solar technologies have reduced costs by more than half in the last ten years, and with the utility rebates and financing available today these installations are now even more affordable.

Solar installations can be designed to send power back to the utility grid (under associated state and federal laws). A solar power system can send surplus electricity back to the grid during the daytime when electric utility rates are the most expensive. The electric meter runs backwards and the utility keeps a record of the valuable power it receives from the solar system, crediting the properties electric bill for the solar-generated surplus power. This along with many other factors have put solar power installations at an all time high.

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems account for 40% to 60% of the energy used in U.S. commercial and residential buildings. Proven technologies and design concepts, along with energy efficient HVAC technologies will provide significant energy savings and lower lifecycle costs.

HVAC systems also have a significant effect on the health, comfort, and productivity of occupants. Issues including user discomfort, improper ventilation, and poor indoor air quality are linked to HVAC system design and operation. This can be corrected by improved mechanical and ventilation systems, and a good preventative maintenance program. As with lighting systems, the productivity gains from a well designed and implemented HVAC system can result in savings that are many times the energy savings alone.

Refrigeration systems often operate in an inefficient manner due to faults that are not catastrophic, but that reduce capacity, increase power consumption, or both. This is because refrigeration systems are designed for extreme conditions of climate and load, but operate most of the time well away from this peak. Since most users also have spare capacity, these situations can persist for long periods without being detected. Through well planned operational inspections these inefficiencies (if any) can be detected and resolved allowing refrigeration systems to perform at their peak level. With well maintained and operating refrigeration, additional energy savings, improved product quality, and increased cooling capacity can also be achieved through our line of energy efficiency technologies.

A variable frequency drive (VFD) is an electrical device used to control the speed of a standard three-phase induction motor. A VFD allows you to conveniently adjust the speed of a motor by changing the frequency applied to the motor.  As an example, when the speed of the electric motor is slowed down by the VFD to 40%, you save approximately 90% of the energy cost associated with the motor operation.  The installation of a VFD will also lessen the wear/tear and extend the life of the motor.  From a mechanical standpoint, bearings run at a lower speed will typically last longer than bearings run at full speed.  Noise reduction is another benefit of VFD’s, especially when installed on fan motors.

VFD’s can also be used to soft start electric motors.  The soft start will eliminate the power surge encountered when a motor is hard started, resulting in energy savings and less bearing wear.

Your facility may have a unique need or situation that can be solved by the effective use of a VFD and/or high efficiency electric motor replacement.  Eastern Energy Solutions, Inc. can help you apply these technologies in one turn key project!

Open cell and closed cell spray foam insulation products are one-step performance materials which both insulate and air seal a building for the lifetime of the structure.  It has helped to redefine traditional construction methods and benefits modern building sciences and energy efficient green building initiatives.  Where traditional fiberglass insulation is only stapled or placed into wall cavities, spray foam is used to seal the entire building envelope for residential, commercial and industrial facilities.  Spray foam insulation saves energy, ads strength, stops air, fills cracks/gaps, and reduces noise, moisture and the potential for mold/mildew.

Monthly energy and utility savings of 30% or greater can be achieved when compared to the alternative roofing and insulation systems. The cost of an SPF roof or insulation system can often be recovered in less than 5 years, simply through energy savings alone.

solar thermal services eastern energy solutionsSolar thermal energy (STE) is an innovative technology for harnessing solar energy for thermal energy or heat. The solar thermal collectors used to generate the heat come in the form of flat panels (low to medium temperatures) and evacuated tubes (high temperatures). STE is more efficient than photovoltaic (electricity generating solar) and can be used to provide hot water in residential/commercial applications, heat swimming pools and even provide residential/commercial space heating. These applications can be incorporated into a wide variety of designs that provide high energy savings and good paybacks. With the utility rebates, tax incentives and financing available today, these installations are more affordable than ever.

Eastern Energy Solutions, Inc. has solar thermal evacuated tubes installed on the exterior walls and roof of their warehousing facility to provide hot water and aid in radiant floor heating during the winter months.
